The untitled Venom: Let There Be Carnage sequel is an upcoming American superhero film feael Comics character Venom, produced by Columbia Pictures. Distributed by Sony Pictures Releasing, it is intended to be the sixth film in Sony's Spider-Man Universe and the sequel to Venom (2018) and Venom: Let There Be Carnage (2021). The film is being written, co-produced, and directed by Kelly Marcel (in her directorial debut), from a story she wrote with Tom Hardy, who reprises his roles as Eddie Brock and Venom and also serves as co-producer.
Hardy revealed in August 2018 that he was signed on to appear in a third Venom film and development began by December 2021, after the second film was released. Marcel and Hardy were writing the script by June 2022, and Marcel was set to direct that October. Filming began in late June 2023 in Spain, but was halted the next month due to the 2023 SAG-AFTRA strike. Filming was set to resume following the strike's conclusion in November, and is also expected to occur in London.
The film is scheduled to be released in the United States on November 8, 2024.
